Funny how one event can trigger seemingly unrelated events to occur... for example, I just came back from a week in the Boundary region working on the same project I was on last August. Driving conditions were totally different as this time I hit a snowstorm on the way and was once again thankful that my dad instilled in me the need to be prepared for that.
As I sped up the hill east of Osooyos I remembered how great it felt driving out there last summer - the momentary freedom from responsibility and dreams of going faaaaast - and that led me back to my blog.
I've taken a big promotion at work recently and am beginning to realize the implications. Seems like I've wanted this for so long and now that I'm here, well it feels like the old cliche of "be careful what you wish for". A good thing all in all, just feels different BEING here instead of WANTING to be here.
I'm going to succeed.
